simple Questions…

Yes, Sarahbean is my actual name! After 25+ years as a nickname, I made it official.
Here's why I love it: it reminds me that we're all in this together, floating in the same wild soup called life.
And let's be real - this soup is getting pretty intense lately. Parents are navigating things our own parents never dreamed of: a post-pandemic world, the digital age, rising anxiety in kids, constant pressure to "do it all," climate worries, school safety concerns, and an economy that keeps us doing acrobatics.
But here's the beautiful thing: just like beans nourish the bod and make soup richer, we make each other stronger. My role? I'm here to help you find your way through these uncharted seas, one small step at a time.

According to the Jai Institute of Parenting (where I received my certification).
“A parent coach helps parents clarify how they want their relationships with their children to be, and offers them tools to create a deeper and more fulfilling connection for their family. Parenting coaches provide guidance, education and accountability, allowing families to create their own empowered parenting model, rather than fixing, prescribing or diagnosing.”
My Coaching Approach ✦

Build on your existing parenting strengths rather than focusing on perceived deficits
Create a thinking partnership of reflective listening and curious exploration without judgment
Weave evidence-based insights on attachment, development, and nervous system regulation into practical strategies
Your commitment fuels our journey toward creating your personalized map of delightful connection with your spirited child

The term "superdelight" was born from a dream that aligned perfectly with Mary Ainsworth's pioneering Strange Situation study from the 1970s (a decade of magnificent aesthetics), where "delight" was actually used as a scientific measurement of parent-child attachment. This groundbreaking research elevated moments of genuine joy between caregivers and children from simply pleasant experiences to significant indicators of secure attachment bonds. This intersection—where measurable delight meets attachment science—forms the heart of the Superdelight approach to parenting.

Why I do What I do
Supporting parents with little ones isn't just my job - it's my calling.
✦ The dance between your nervous system and your child's developing brain during meltdowns demands both science and soul.
✦ Those midnight worry spirals disconnect you from the intuitive wisdom already encoded in your parental DNA.
✦ When conventional parenting approaches fall flat, it's an invitation to discover the unique constellation of strategies that honor your child's magical journey.
✦ The overwhelming flood of parenting information creates a paradox where more knowledge often leads to less confidence.
✦ I believe connection is the antidote. My work creates space for more moments of superdelight—those magical interactions where genuine connection transforms both you and your child.

The Five Dimensions of Superdelight: A Values Framework for Transformative Parenting ✦
Let me break down these five pillars that guide this values-driven approach to supporting parents of big-feeling little ones:
✹ Wonder embodies the spirit of exploration that lives at the heart of the parent-child relationship.
✹ Authenticity speaks to the courage to be genuinely yourself while parenting
✹ Creativity acknowledges that there's no universal parenting blueprint
✹ Belonging creates the foundation for growth as the most fundamental human need.
✹ Credibility grounds parenting approaches in wisdom and evidence
These five values form an interconnected framework that supports all of my decision-making at Superdelight. Learn more below. ↓
